The highly specialised open-path UV gas detection systems Quasar SafEye™ 950 and 960 provide reliable gas leak monitoring: The Quasar 950 model detects the toxic gases hydrogen sulphide and sulphur dioxide. The Quasar 960 model warns of toxic ammonia.
As far as the SafEye™ can see The fixed open path gas detectors of the SafEye™ Quasar 950 and SafEye™ Quasar 960 series protect both your staff and the high risk areas of your plant. The sensors in these detectors are distinguished by their high sensitivity and fast response time. With a range of up to 60 m (197 ft), they reliably measure the concentrations of the toxic hazardous substances hydrogen sulphide (H2S) and sulphur dioxide (SO2) as well as ammonia (NH3).
Robust and resistant You can rely on the SafEye™ Quasar 950/960 even in extreme and harsh conditions. The heated lenses prevent a reduction in the measuring performance due to ice build-up and snow accumulations. The detector also resists glare and is unaffected by sunlight, natural gas flares, welding arcs and other high intensity radiation. Even strong vibrations cannot harm it.
Complex, but not complicated The SafEye™ Quasar 950/960 gas detector is a technically complex product – yet it is very easy to use. It can easily be installed, aligned, calibrated and configured by one person using the handheld unit (available separately).
Compatible with your control system The SafEye™ Quasar 950/960 is equipped with different output signals. These are compatible with various industry-standard protocols such as 0 – 20 mA, HART® and RS485 Modbus. In addition, you can select the perfect model with the required range for your system from a wide selection of available versions. This gives you greater flexibility in designing the customised security, monitoring and alarm system for your plant. The approvals for ATEX, IECEx, TR CU and SIL 2 for SafEye™ 950/960 are available.
